Counselling Agreement — 2026
Welcome
Clear Ground Counselling offers a space for practical, reflective conversations, helping you make sense of where you are, think clearly, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
This document outlines how sessions are conducted and what you can expect.
Nature of the Service
Clear Ground Counselling is:
· A private, fee-for-service counselling practice
· Conversation-based and non-clinical
· Focused on clarity, perspective, and forward movement
This service is not:
· A crisis or emergency service
· A medical, psychological or psychiatric service
· A Medicare-rebated service
· A diagnostic or treatment-based mental health service
If you require clinical or urgent support, this can be discussed, and appropriate services can be recommended.
Session Structure
· Standard sessions run for approximately 50–60 minutes
· Sessions are conducted in person
· Frequency is flexible and based on your needs
Session Fees
Sessions are offered using a tiered model to support accessibility:
· Tier 1 – Preferential Rate
· Tier 2 – Standard Rate
· Tier 3 – Supported Rate
You are free to select the tier that best reflects your current circumstances. No explanation is required.
Payment
Payment is made after the session via a secure link sent to your phone.
The process is simple:
· You receive a message
· Open the link
· Select your preferred tier
· Complete payment
Payment is expected within a reasonable timeframe (24 hours) following the session.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
· Late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice)
· Missed appointments (no-shows)
may be charged at the full session fee.
Attendance & Engagement
Counselling is most effective when approached with openness and consistency.
That said, this is your space — there is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with, and you are free to pause or stop at any time.
Communication Between Sessions
Communication outside of sessions (e.g. SMS or email) is used for practical purposes such as:
· Scheduling
· Appointment changes
· Payment links
It is not intended to provide counselling support between sessions.
Crisis & Urgent Support
Clear Ground Counselling is not a crisis service.
If you require immediate support, please contact:
· Lifeline (13 11 14)
· Emergency Services (000)
· Your local health provider
Outcomes
Counselling is a reflective and collaborative process. While many people find it valuable, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Client Responsibility
You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, and well-being outside of sessions.
Agreement
By attending sessions with Clear Ground Counselling, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
