John Reardon

Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Friend. Everything that makes up a full and imperfect life.

Before:

Background in Australian media, marketing, and advertising - running small businesses and working with major brands, senior decision-makers, and government stakeholders. A fast-paced, ambitious, and competitive environment and, in hindsight, a far more human one than I understood at the time.

Shift:

Experiences of grief, burnout, and becoming a father led me to reassess what success actually meant. Over time, my focus shifted from perceived achievement toward clarity. I realised I wanted to work directly with people, drawing on the practical skills developed through business, leadership, and life experience.

Onwards:

Master of Social Work with AASW accreditation, grounding my practice in both theory and application. Experience in community support, working directly with individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Practical, real-world exposure that continues to shape my approach.

People don't often approach this work because something is broken. They come because something doesn't feel right, or perhaps they want to think more clearly about what comes next.

I genuinely believe that people, regardless of where they are or what they're facing, have the capacity to find their footing and move forward in a way that feels right for them. My role is to provide a space where that can happen in a grounded, considered, and practical way.

For me, good work comes down to reflection, integrity, and genuine respect for the people I sit with.

The “Missing Middle”

What continues to shape my approach is noticing how many people don’t quite fit neatly into traditional categories of support. They’re not in crisis, but they also recognise that something in their life needs attention. They’re functioning, capable, and responsible, yet aware that continuing as things are may eventually lead somewhere they don’t want to end up.

Support for this space often sits outside traditional systems. That’s where this work sits - offering clear, grounded conversations that help you step back, gain perspective, and move forward with intention.

The aim is to have meaningful conversations, so you leave with clarity, grounding, confidence, and enough momentum to continue building your life in a way that feels considered and your own.

The next step is simply a conversation.
